Inpatient Care Prairie Community Hospital provides inpatient care to patients through admission to the hospital for monitoring, evaluation, and medical treatment. While in the hospital, the patient may undergo diagnostic tests and procedures to stabilize, diagnose, and treat their active illness. Primary Care The Prairie County Clinic provides comprehensive medical care to patients throughout Eastern Montana. Our medical providers are dedicated to providing same-day and convenient care to patients of all ages. Clinic services include but is not limited to chronic care management, medication management, annual medical screenings, immunizations, family planning, women’s health, physical exams, well child visits, and management of chronic conditions. Swing Bed Care Prairie Community Hospital District’s swing bed program provides care to patients during the transition period between hospitalization or after surgery and returning home in compliance with Medicare regulations. |
Emergency Care The Prairie Community emergency department is staffed by personnel who are trained in emergency care including a team of nurses, hospital personnel, and advanced practice providers, who provide emergency services 24/7. The ER department takes care of patients with major and minor illnesses and injuries. The ER employees actively participate in meeting criteria to be designated as a trauma receiving facility through the Montana State Trauma Program. Laboratory Prairie Community Hospital District provides high quality laboratory services through our licensed laboratory by the Department of Health and Human Services clinical laboratory improvement amendment (CLIA) program. Physical Therapy The physical therapy services at Prairie Community Hospital work with patients with a variety of diagnoses and disabilities. The goals of physical therapy are to optimize recovery, functional independence, and enhance comfort levels for our patients. |
Long Term Care Prairie Community Hospital serves patients of all ages who need short-term or longer term care by providing competent and compassionate care. We focus on providing high quality care that addresses the individual needs of each patient. Radiology The Prairie Community Hospital District limited permit holder radiology technicians work with our medical providers to produce high-quality digital images that are used in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. Preventative Care The medical providers at Prairie County Clinic provide routine health care that includes screenings, checkups, and patient counseling to prevent illnesses, disease, or other health problems. Behavioral Health The Prairie County Clinic employees a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who works to assess, diagnose, and treat the mental health needs of our patients. |
